We recently went to Koi Palace for Lunar New Year dinner and my friend Brandon suggested that we wear red, even red underwear lol… Later, I read that “in China the color red is omnipresent. As legend has it, those who wear red underwear during the Chinese New Year celebrations are considered lucky for a whole year.” I also thought it was very fun that we each said which animal we are. I was born in 1982, the year of the water dog. I don’t usually read horoscopes, but after dinner I felt compelled to look mine up. One website said, “the career for people born in 1982 is in the rising stage, and it is highly advised them to strive for great improvements at this very time. They will see their aspirations come to fruition slowly but surely.” I thought it sounded like an overly optimistic fortune cookie, but I’ll take it and feel encouraged.

Another website said about 1982 dogs: “These Dogs are calculative planners. They focus on building a strong foundation for their future. But when faced with difficulties, they can become very pessimistic. They work hard, but should create bigger goals in order to use their full potential.”

“Honest and loyal, Dogs are the truest friends and most reliable partner.”
